This entry is logged after the fact, and that is the first honest thing to say. The Dec 18-21, 2025 test window closed, and the null result was never written up at the time. The exciting setup got a page. The boring falsification did not, until now. Recording it late is still better than leaving the hypothesis hanging, so here it is.

On method: We cannot prove a universal negative, and we are not claiming to. But the protocol pre-committed to a falsification condition, fewer than two predictions met, before the window opened. Honoring that now instead of moving the goalposts is the entire point of pre-registration. A clean negative is data, not failure.

Why this counts as a win: The worth of this project was never the hypothesis being true. It was building a falsifiable, multi-system, openly logged test and then actually reporting the result when the data said no. Most hypotheses never get closed honestly. This one did.

What this does not touch: 3I/ATLAS was a genuine interstellar object, possibly older than our own solar system, and a real scientific gift. That stays true. A visitor formed around another star naturally carries features that do not fit our local comet models, and studying it was worthwhile. The ITR mechanism is the specific claim that failed the test. The wider curiosity stands on its own.
